My Week in Pics – Art and About
What a good ‘un! I love looking back over my week and thinking ‘yep, I lived it this week.’
I used to get down if my week wasn’t BUSY and full of big activities. Now, I delight in the small adventures, which makes my life much happier. Less push, push, pushing and much more living.
On Monday I delighted in the beauty of my home. I walked along the shorefront, soaked up the sun and realised that my vision-board image of living on a tropical island is right outside my doorstep if I embrace it.
I heart hiking, big style. My cuz lent me a baby backpack for hiking and I tried the little dude out in it. You can see he loves it! He’s not quiiiiite big enough for me to head out to the woods, but soon. Soon. (and then I’ll show you a picture 😉
The Cool Hunter has a cool new pop up exhibition called the Art Hunter. The best stuff were two installation rooms. In one, here, surrounded in mirrors, are me and my legs. The other coolest one was a blacklit room where you could leave glow in the dark messages on the walls. Obviously, I wrote something profound. (to see my pics of that room, check me out on Instagram!)
Mums gone wild! For the first time in these long 5 months, my mums group gathered in the evening without children and with wine. We went to Bat Country, The Spot’s cool* new bar. The seven of us very slowly shared two bottles of wine, and they realised we were their day-time mums target market so brought us free cake and suggested we come back again in the day time. Very clever. As now I’m telling you they open at 6 which is earlier than any of the other cafes in Coogee, so I’ll be heading there for pre-work brekkie with the hubster and you’re welcome to join us.
PONY GAMES NIGHT!! Seriously, how can a day get better than this!? Horses**, games** and lots of laughter**! This picture is me in the apple bobbing race. Ride to the end as fast as you can, jump off, bob for an apple in the water bucket, run back. Spectators fall about laughing.
My birthday is in January. My husbandito bought me tickets to a play as my pressie. Unfortunately, I’d already seen it years ago and hated it. I gave it 3/10 this time (he gave it 3.5) and we left at the interval. But we saw bad theatre in style, in Sydney’s beautiful Opera House after dining in its shade.
On Sunday, the little dude had his first sleep over. Not that either bambino realised! A good old friend of mine came for dinner. We ate veal from the slow cooker. Charlie decided he doesn’t like sleep overs, and screamed so much my friend went home, but we caught a beautiful sunset on the balcony while we ate in his short sleep window. Happy Sunday!
Now over to you.
