My Week in Pics – Friends and Films

No travelling this week, and no recovering… just a normal old week in Sydneytown with a family. Love.

You may recall from last week that I maaay have had a couple of drinks on Sunday night. So on Monday I spent a lot of the day snoozing. I also hung out with the little dude. And ate guacamole.

The Everyday Adventure

I heart the Sydney Film Festival. Every year I try to get to a few films, and I’ve never seen a dud. So tonight, another not-dud, while the big dude watched the little dude.

I have decided the little dude is big enough that maybe I should spend some time doing stuff that’s specifically to entertain him. So I went to babies love books at the library. Then I went for a walk and marveled at the high tide, for me.

Horse riding!! I had my first lesson today for a few months, and I seem to be crooked, but I was still smiling and that’s the main thing.

On Friday, this happened. I had to decide whether to have a little tantrum or laugh and put the box back together, and I’m so happy to report that I laughed, and carried on*.

I also made this most amazing frittata. I’ve joined Sarah Wilson’s I Quit Sugar program (I’ve done it before myself, but with Charlie I have been struggling so have joined for a bit of support) and am loving the simple recipes she includes in the program.

*see what I did there? Carried?

The husbandito is in Brazil watching the soccer at the moment, and I am a World Cup widow. I decided that wasn’t going to stop me! So I got a babysitter, put on my glad rags, and went out for dinner with a few friends.

The Everyday Adventure

The last night of the film festival. Even with a new baby and a husband who’s overseas, I managed to get in four films this year! Unfortunately Sunday night’s sesh was the worst of the lot, but I finished up with a drink and a chat before I went and collected mini.

I’d love to see some pictures (and inspiration!) of your own adventure! Share your pictures using the hashtag #theeverydayadventure, I look at every one!

I’ll see you out there having fun!
