My Week in Pics – Home and Away
Check this week – some big some small, all adventures.
Now friends, you’ve been a bit quiet but I know you’re out there having fun. Jump onto Instagram or Facebook with a photo of you living your adventure and hashtag #theeverydayadventure. I’d love to see what you’re up to!
I’ve got a new gig, at a place called Laneway Learning! I’m the Bondi venue manager, and will be making awesome shit happen down there. Monday was my first LL night out, we had an hilarious speaker on the physiology of sex and pleasure. She was funny (and I learnt a few tips!) I’d love to see you down in Bondi one Monday night. If you’re there, come and say hi!
Let me tell you a little tale about Flow.
A little while ago, I heard Alice Nichols from the Whole Daily speak. She was rad. Then I bumped into a friend in Coogee, we got chatting, I discovered they are friends and heading to a talk I wanted to get to. So I emailed Alice and said hi, I like your shizz, I’d love to meet you. Maybe at the talk! she wrote back, it was nice, but I can’t go to the talk now so no plans to meet.
Then I entered a competition hosted by My Best Me. A competition to win entry into Alice’s Life Transformation Project. And, you guessed it, I won! So now
- I get to virtually meet Alice over the next month, and
- Because I like what she’s doing and want to meet her properly, I’ll actually follow through on the course!
Yep people, that’s flow. I’m meant to do this, meant to meet this girl, and who knows what will come of it now…
As you read this, I’m heading to the UK, where although it’s May (same as everywhere else) it’s cold. So I bought the little dude this hilarious hat today. It makes me giggle.
I ride horses. My instructor rides them much better than I. On Thursday she was in the biggest competition of her career, so I went to support and cheer! She did amazingly well – 13th in all of Australia.
On Friday we headed off on our first family overseas adventure! Visiting the UK for my sister-in-law’s wedding, a baby takes the words ‘traveling light’ to a new level. We ended up with 7 bags! Now everyone please send non-jet-lagged-baby vibes our way.
Saturday was a transit day. The little dude was much better than I feared and slept pretty well. Except during our 7 hour layover in Abu Dhabi. This happened while we were there. (Attempts at sensory deprivation after he’d been awake for about 5 hours and was totally overstimulated)
We’re here in Blighty! The little dude woke at 3 and wouldn’t go back to sleep so at 530 we gave up and went for a dawn stroll in the countryside. Crisp, clear, beautiful. (Though obviously not so beautiful that I wouldn’t prefer to sleep through it tomorrow!)
Now over to you!
