My Week in Pics – Mainly Meals and Movies

On Monday I joined a 6 week bikini body challenge, to get my nutrition back on track after turning into a carb monster during pregnancy*.

Then I went out for dinner with a friend and ate sushi – the food I missed the most during pregnancy!

My in laws are visiting to meet the new baby. They’re not getting a lot of baby time, more time watching him sleep. So we went out for a meal to catch up while the little dude slept.

Me, the little dude, a friend and her little dude went to see About Time at the mums and bubs session. There was one random old dude there without a baby, and a room full of women with babies who started to cry 2 hours into it (my little dude included!)

Sometimes, you just need a glass of wine. Of course, I fell asleep on the couch after 2 sips but it’s the attempt that counts!

I roadtripped it up to Newcastle with the little guy to visit Renee from NFE Design for some photos. Cutie!

I heart farmers markets, so the husbandito, the little dude and I went to Bondi. My mate Jade from Make Your Life Amazing had an AH-mazing stall of raw treats. I wanted them all to get in my belly but stopped at one due to previously mentioned bikini challenge.

Sunday was family day. We went to Centennial Park and did a charity walk for Cure for Life, a brain cancer research fundraiser. Then we hit up the food fair in Coogee where I ate meat and veg (hold the bread), overheated the little dude, and went home for mid afternoon naps.

Now over to you!

What’s one thing you can do this week to add some adventure to your life? Comment below, and share your pics on Instagram by using the hastag #theeverydayadventure.

I’ll see you out there having fun!

xx Sam

I love it! You just had a baby and you are out and about and doing a bikini challenge…dang girl! nice work! I appreciate your commitment to the everyday adventure. It is a good one : ) I don’t have a baby yet, but I have a baby horse, and that is an everyday adventure too!

      oh wow! A baby horse!
I miss riding, a dodgy hip meant I had to stop pretty early in pregnancy and haven’t got back into it yet, but I CAN’T WAIT! 😀

Fantastic! It’s so important to flex that creative muscle (especially for a left-brainer like me), so I love the idea of musical inspiration!

LOVE the look of your week! Yummy food + good connections is always my idea of a life well lived. To bring more adventure into my life, I’m jumping on a plane to visit my man on set in Pittsburgh next week – looking forward to checking out the fall colors of the East coast!

Oh fun! I spent 10 years of my childhood in PA (in the southeast corner) so can remember those beautiful autumn colours!
And I completely agree that connection is key 😀

You have had the best week!
My BFF came to my state yesterday + instead of sitting around the house like we normally do, we changed the scenery + went to the beach, played around in the water for a bit with my little dudette then lazed on the grass for hours….my soul needed that!

Hi! Sounds like a fun week! 🙂 last night I went to a place called bounce- a giant room filled with trampolines! So fun, and a cardio workout at the same time. I’m trying to find adventurous ways to also get exercise 🙂

I’ve heard of that place!! It sounds awesome! Once I’m a bit further post birth I might see whether there’s a place in Sydney that does that. Love the adventurous exercise idea as well – it’s got to be fun! xx
