My Week in Pics – Sardinia
A mini European tour with our bambino. From England Sardinia, Italy with Dutch friends. And lots of naps. I got myself the nickname Samantha Snoozerland from a funny Dutch lady.
We stayed at this amazing place. Sadly I couldn’t swim, as the pool water temperature was below my minimum of 24 degrees C. One of our company tried to dip the little dude in and he screamed the roof down, so must have similar water-temperature requirements to me!
The husbandito is totes hilar, and he carted this outfit all the way across the globe just for this moment of greeting the Dutchies. It was definitely worth it.
I heart hiking!! So we went hiking. We saw albino donkeys, and the little dude loved the backpack. (which is lucky, as he’s going to have to get used to being in it!)
On Wednesday we took a little trip to Castelsardo – ‘the Mont San Michelle of Sardinia’. If I’m honest, I don’t think MSM needs to worry just yet, beautiful as it was.
Then in the evening a Sardinian degustation! Meat, cheese, beans, cheese, pig, a few vegetables, and more cheese. Plus plenty of red wine. The little dude alternately slept and screamed through the meal, but we still had plenty of laughs!
Stalegmites, stalegtites, a beach and some friends. I need to feature the gang! This is us, in a cave. I miss these dudes (come back to Sydney!!).
Another hike along the ocean and up a hill. Bright sunshine, good chats, dark chocolate, who could ask for anything more…
On Saturday the dream ended. An early morning start with a flight back to London, a stroll and an ice cream in beautiful English gardens, and gearing up for the long flight home.
On the plane. Not a lot of sleeping happened (but I did manage to binge watch eleven episodes of House of Cards, so that’s not a terrible outcome!).
Now over to you!
