My Week in Pics – The Adventure in the Everyday

Sometimes my weeks are full, and fun but still pretty low key. But the adventure is in living it gently everyday, and that’s what this week was all about.

To celebrate the Easter long weekend and our awesome ‘hood we had a walking-distance party and invited people who could walk to our pad. I didn’t take any photos but it was awesome!

The Everyday Adventure

Following a bit of a hiatus from the gym, #projectmilf is back on! So I went to the gym and pumped some iron. I may or may not still be sore.

I’ve got a new gig, running the Bondi venue for Laneway Learning! So I was down in Bondi in the sun putting up some flyers to advertise the next session. Come along, I’d love to meet you in person!

Wednesday night was bad. Really, really bad. the little guy got a cold (that’s now a cough) and was up every half hour for the whole night. That’s every half hour from 7pm-430am. Then I fed him and we got an hour. Then We put him in the pram and got another hour. That is not a lot of sleep my friends. So we looked like this* at sunrise.

The Everyday AdventureIn the afternoon I took a walk in the evening sun and saw a girl playing a ukulele on a rock. It made me smile even though I was exhausted.

On Friday I got the night off and met my radical friend in the city. I took this selfie while I waited. Half my face, a big earring and our beautiful bridge were ready for fun times.

The Biennale of Sydney is currently on, so we ferried out to Cockatoo Island to check it out. This video mural of a waterfall was my favourite. I would like one in my house please.

This interactive room where people flexed their creative muscles to get the artworks moving came a close second.

Although I’ve been banging on about #projectmilf, it hasn’t quite taken yet and I’m still not back into my skinny jeans. Or many of my clothes at all. My sister in law is getting married soon, so I need a dress to wear. I spent a long time at the shops, and although I didn’t get a wedding dress, I did get a pretty fun haul. Sadly the hat is not for me, but for the little guy.
